Exhibit A: How A Class Reunion Should Be Handled

This is how I want my high school class reunion to go.  It takes place in our high school gym for one. Not some reserved picnic area at the county park. Ok I did go to my 5 year class reunion which was at a park and the day was just dumb.

It was a hot, windy summer day and my long hair blew around like a tornado.

I was talking to one of the jocks trying to play it cool when  a strong breeze made my hair flap across my face and stay there while my paper plate of food sputtered into the air and  skittered across the grass.

All the same cliques from high school hung around each other. No one made an effort to cross over. See? Dumb.

Back to the plan. A reunion at our high school at night. Drinks and a DJ playing 80's music. No spouses and no, I don't want to hear about your kids.

Where it gets dicey is my main, reunion goal.  A clip board could come in handy, but it's not a necessity. My goal is to get some answers!

Like, Um Mike? April, 1987 senior year, what made you think that I wouldn't find out you were putting the moves on my best friend?

Yes yes we did set up a sting and you fell for it. How did that make you feel?
Yes, I remember we called you asking how to light an incense cone-you're straying off topic.
(I'm aware that I may get some bogus answer and I can accept that)
Next, Mike.  Do you realize now how rude it is to ask someone to prom and then un-invite that person because you want to ask Kathy?
(pause for his response)
I guess it was karma that she declined your offer and I went with someone way more fun. End of Mike portion.

Dear reader, I need to add two final things.  One: I can dish it out AND take it.

Two: High School ended just fine between Mike and me. I still have the cassette tape he made me. "I...I...I reallyloveyou."
